The Gould Collection: Traditional Abenaki Baskets & Ornament
This meaningful trio of brown ash basketry and ornament was created by Bill and Sherry Gould, enrolled members of the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk Abenaki Nation (Tribal IDs 321 & 322). The set includes:

  • Small Backpack Basket by Bill Gould
  • Miniature Backpack Basket by Sherry Gould
  • Reindeer Ornament by Sherry Gould — featuring a sweetgrass halter and brass hanging wire

Handmade using traditional Abenaki techniques and natural materials, including hand-pounded brown ash and sweetgrass, these pieces reflect cultural lineage, place-based knowledge, and deep creative intention.

This is a rare opportunity to bring home the work of two respected Abenaki basketmakers and culture bearers. Please note that the Buy Now option of $300 tries to honor the rarity and cultural value of the work.
